Grimm brothers in Germany spent years compiling traditional folk tales gathered from peasants. A collection of these stories was published in 1812. Anything that was not suitable for children was not included in the published version for children. Rural folk tales acquired a new form. The children press thus created a new world of children's literature entertaining thousands of young minds.
