    Let \[x\] men can finish the work in \[\frac{1}{2}\] day. Then, less days, more men required (indirect). \[\therefore \]  \[\frac{1}{2}:18::20:x\] \[18\times 20=\frac{1}{2}x\] \[x=360\times 2\Rightarrow x=720\] Number of men to be added\[=(720-20)=700\].
