A car covers \[30\,\,km\] at a uniform speed of\[60\,\,km\,\,{{h}^{-1}}\] and the next 30 km at a uniform speed of\[40\,\,km\,\,{{h}^{-1}}\]. Find the total time taken.

    A) \[30\,\,\min \]

    B)        \[45\,\,\min \]

    C) \[75\,\,\min \]

    D)        \[120\,\,\min \]

    Correct Answer: C

    Solution :

    \[S=v\times t\], For the first\[30\,\,km\]             \[30=60\times {{t}_{2}}\Rightarrow {{t}_{2}}=45\,\,\min \] For the next \[30\,\,km\]             \[30=40\times {{t}_{2}}\Rightarrow {{t}_{2}}=45\,\,\min \] Hence,\[t={{t}_{1}}+{{t}_{2}}=30+45=75\,\,\min \]
