Explain the three types of party systems and justify why the two-party system is the ideal one.

The three kinds of party system are- single party system, two party system and multi-party system. In a single party system only one political party is legally allowed to hold effective power. Example-China and Syria. In two party system, only two parties dominate as in the United States. This is widely known as the more stable government. In multi-party system, more than two political parties contest elections. Example-India, UK, Canada etc.
