Try to stop two cricket balls moving with different velocities. Which one is difficult to stop? Why?

    Answer:

It is difficult to stop the ball moving with greater velocity, as it requires more force to stop it. When masses are same, then the amount of motion depends on the velocity of the body. The more the velocity, the more is amount of motion. Hence, the ball moving with greater velocity has greater amount of motion and therefore requires more force to stop it.
