While playing carroms, we often make a 'tower' of the 'carrom men'. If we now strike at the lowermost carrom men, we find that this carom man moves out of the tower, but the rest of the tower stays intact. Why is it so?

If we strike the lowermost coin from the tower of carom coins, we expect all the cons of the tower to fall, but this does not happen. This is because the coins stay where they are, due to inertia of rest, even when the lowermost coin is struck out.
