A and B undertake to do a piece of work for Rs.200. A can do it in 6 days and B in 8 days. With the help of C they finish it in 3 days. How much is paid to C?

    A) Rs.25

    B) Rs.26

    C) Rs.27

    D) Rs.28

    Correct Answer: A

    Solution :

    Reasoning: Each of three is doing work for three days. A's work for 3 days \[1+\frac{R}{100}=\frac{220}{200}\] \[R=10%\] A gets \[CI-SI=\frac{R\times SI}{2\times 100}\] B's work for 3 days \[144=\frac{15\times SI}{200}\] \[SI=Rs.1920\] B gets \[\frac{PTR}{100}=Rs.1920\] \[\frac{P\times 2\times 15}{100}=1920\] C gets the rest, i.e., Rs.25.
