in Indian culture. Many cultural activities like Kumbh melas are organised on
river banks in every part of India. Indian rivers like the Ganga form vast
basins that are considered as one of the most agriculturally productive part of
the world. Indian rivers host many religious, cultural and picturesque tourist
spots that are of great significance to tourism industry which is a great
source of income to a country's economy.
