What is an echo? Why do we not get echo in small rooms?

    Answer:

Echo is the phenomenon of repetition of sound due to its reflection from the surface of a large obstacle. The minimum distance from a sound reflecting surface (wall, etc.) to hear an echo should be 17.2 m (at 20°C). In a small room, the original and the reflected sounds get mixed, so echoes cannot be heard distinctly.
