Cultivation practices and crop yields are related to environmental conditions. Explain

    Answer:

Hybridisation refers to crossing between genetically dissimilar plants. These are of three types (i) Intervarietal (cross between two different varieties).                                                               (1) (ii) Interspecific (cross between two different species of same genus).                                  (1) (iii) Intergeneric (cross between two different genera). Thus, in plants breeding, intervarietal hybridisation is mostly used and improved the crop variety. Improved varieties are higher in yield and develop natural resistance against diseases.                                                                   (1)
