  What do you understand by composite fish culture?   Describe   in   detail   with advantages and disadvantages.

                  Composite fish culture system is adopted for intensive fishing. Characteristics of Composite Fish Culture (i) Both local as well as imported fish species can be used in such systems. (ii) A combination of five or six fish species is used in a single fish pond. (iii) These species have different feeding habits. (iv) These species are selected so that they do not' compete for food among them having different food habits. Example Catlas Surface feeders. Rohu Feed in middle zone of the pond. Mrigals Bottom feeders. Common carps Bottom feeders. Grass carps Weed feeders.                         (3) Advantages All the food available in the pond is utilised. There is no competition for food.
