(b) Nature gave the lovers a terrible warning by appearing as terrifying as possible. Storms grew ever stronger and the weather grew more murky. Lochgyle itself assumed a dreadful appearance and the waves lashed the shores ever fiercely. (c) It tells about the weather getting worse.
