Acetic acid and ethyl alcohol are liquids and their products, ethyl acetate and water, are also liquids but one of the products of decomposition of $CaC{{O}_{3}}$ is gaseous $(C{{O}_{2}})$ which escapes out and the reverse reaction cannot occur.
