ALPHABET TEST
An alphabet test depends upon the English alphabets in different order/sequence and arrangement of different words as in a dictionary.
ALPHABETICAL ORDER
Alphabetical order with its serial number is given below:
REVERSE ALPHABETICAL ORDER
The reverse of alphabetical order is given below:
ARRANGE THE GIVEN WORDS IN DICTIONARY ORDER
FORMATION OF A WORD FROM THE LETTERS OF A GIVEN WORD
To form a word from the given letters, we can take each letter almost as many times as the given word consists of it.
LOGICAL SEQUENCE
To arrange the elements of a given set in a meaningful order is called the respective logical sequence.
The required sequence may be of increasing or decreasing size, value, intensity, etc.
EXAMPLE
Arrange the following four words in the order in which they occur in a dictionary and choose the correct sequence.
1. Parallelogram
2. Parameter
3. Paper
4. Parallelepiped.
(a) 3, 1, 4, 2 (b) 3, 2, 1, 4 (c) 3,1,2,4 (d) 3, 4, 1, 2
Explanation (a):
Do not consider first two letters as they overall same.
The third letters are r and p in which p occurs first in the English alphabet.
So 'Paper' will occur first out of the given four words.
The same procedure falls for further consideration.
Hence, the correct order is: Paper, Parallelogram, Parallelepiped, and Parameter.
That is 3, 1, 4, 2.
