Why do we have different units for the same physical quantity?

    Answer:

A physical quantity may have wide range in terms of its magnitude or size. For example, size of a nuclens of an atom is of the order of a fermi \[({{10}^{-15}}\,m)\], whereas distance between the sun and earth is of the order of \[A\,U\,({{10}^{11}}\,m)\].
