Racemose inflorescence In this type of inflorescences, the main axis continues to grow, the flowers are borne laterally in an acropetal succession. Racemose inflorescences are of various types such as raceme, corymb, umbel, spike, spikelet, strobile, catkin, spadix and capitulum inflorescence.
