    Let \[f(x)={{\sin }^{4}}x+{{\cos }^{4}}x\] \[={{({{\sin }^{2}}x+{{\cos }^{2}}x)}^{2}}-2{{\sin }^{2}}x{{\cos }^{2}}x\] \[=1-\frac{1}{4}\cdot 2\,{{(\sin 2x)}^{2}}\] \[=1-\frac{1}{4}(1-\cos 4x)\] \[=\frac{3}{4}+\frac{\cos 2x}{4}\] \[\therefore \]Period of \[f(x)=\frac{2\pi }{4}=\frac{\pi }{2}\]
