    Solution :

     Since, the compound evolves\[{{H}_{2}}\]on treatment with Na metal, it must contain an OH group. Further, since it gives iodoform test, therefore, it must contain the grouping \[C{{H}_{3}}CHOH-\]or\[C{{H}_{3}}CO-\]. Both these reactions are given by compound\[{{(C{{H}_{3}})}_{2}}CHOH\]or\[C{{H}_{3}}CHOHC{{H}_{3}}\].
