    y-co-ordinate of point of intersection on \[x-\]axis =0 \[\therefore \]Putting y = 0 in the equation \[3x+y=-6,\] \[3x+0=-6\] \[\Rightarrow \]\[x=\frac{-6}{3}=-2\] \[\therefore \]Required point \[=(-2,0)\]
