If a ball is thrown up, which of the following does not change?

    A)  Acceleration

    B)  Speed

    C)  Potential energy

    D)  Distance

    Correct Answer: A

    Solution :

When ball is thrown upward, the velocity has a magnitude in the upward direction. However, the ball is un- der the influence of gravity, which, on the surface of the Earth, causes all free-falling objects to undergo a vertical acceleration of \[-9.8\,\,m/{{s}^{2}}\]. So the acceleration of the ball remains constant.
