India has adopted it because: (i) It allows governing of such a large country like-India easily, which has so much of diversity. (ii) It involves better competition during elections and better working in the long term. (iii) It gives us the spirit of democracy. A multi-party system is true to the spirit of democracy. Without multi-party system democracy cannot be established fully in any country.
