    Mental disorders from cognitive perspective:
    (i) This model states that abnormal functioning can result from cognitive problems.
    (ii) People may hold assumptions and attitudes about themselves that are irrational and inaccurate. People may also repeatedly think in illogical ways and make over generalizations, that is, they may draw board, negative conclusions on the basis of a single insignificant event.
    (iii) Cognitive perspective focuses on changing these irrational and negative thoughts/beliefs with more rational and positive thoughts/beliefs by cognitive restructuring.
    (iv) The beliefs like should?s and must's i.e., things' must and should be in a particular manner. Examples of irrational beliefs are, ?One should be loved by everybody all the time?, etc.
