It is cost competitive environmentally friendly and easy to construct. The western part of India has greater potential for the development of Solar Energy in Gujarat and Rajasthan.
(ii) Wind Energy: It is absolutely pollution free, inexhaustible source of energy. The mechanism of energy conversion from blowing wind is simple.
India already has started generating wind energy.
Thus, such non-conventional sources of energy are eco-friendly and cheaper.
