    The breadth of a rectangular hall is three fourth of it's length. If the area of the floor is 768 sq. m, then difference between the length and breadth of the hall is

    Solution :

    Let the length of a rectangle = l m Then, the breadth of a rectangle\[=\frac{3l}{4}\,\,m\] Now,     \[l\times \frac{3}{4}l=768\] \[{{l}^{2}}=1024\] \[l=32\] Hence, the required difference \[=32-\frac{3}{4}\times 32\] \[=32-24=8\,\,m\]
