    Solution :

    A, B, C, D are four consecutive odd integers. Then__ B = A+2          C = A+4          D = A+6          According to question?   \[\frac{A+B+C+D}{4}=42\] \[\frac{4A+12}{4}=42\] \[A+3=42\]                         \[A=39\] Hence, product of B and D = (39+2) (39+6) = 41 \[\times \] 45 = 1845
