How many minutes does it take machine A and B, Work in simultaneously at their respective constant rates, to produce K litres of the chemical?

    A) 8 minutes

    B) 6 minutes

    C) 5 minutes

    D) 7.5 minutes

    Correct Answer: B

    Solution :

A produces K litres of chemical in \[\frac{1}{10}\]min and B produces K litres of chemical in \[\frac{1}{15}\] min Then, both A and B produces K litres of chemical in \[\frac{1}{10}+\frac{1}{15}\]\[=\frac{3+2}{30}=\frac{5}{30}\] \[\Rightarrow \]   A and B produces K of chemical in 6 min.
