    In a bag, there are coins of 25 p, 10 p and 5 p in the ratio of 1 : 2 : 3. If there are Rs. 30 in all, how many 5 p coins are there?

    Solution :

    Let the coins are 25 paise. 10 paise and 5 p? are x, 1x and 3x respectively. \[x\times 0.25+2x\times 0.10+3x\times 0.05=30\] \[\Rightarrow \]   \[0.25x+0.20x+0.15x=30\] \[\Rightarrow \]   \[0.60x=30\] \[\therefore \]      \[x=\frac{30}{0.60}\] \[=50\] \[\therefore \] Required number of 5 paise coins \[=3\times 50\] \[=150\]
