    Solution :

    The equivalent resistance of the circuit \[R=\left( \frac{4\times 2}{4+2} \right)+2=\frac{8}{6}+2=\frac{20}{6}\]     \[=\frac{10}{3}\Omega \] \[\therefore \]Current through the circuit \[i=\frac{V}{R}=\frac{2}{10/3}=\frac{6}{10}=\frac{3}{5}A\] Therefore, potential difference across BC \[V=\frac{3}{5}\left( \frac{4\times 2}{4+2} \right)=0.8\,volt\]
