    Solution :

     Given \[{{y}_{1}}={{a}_{1}}\sin \left( \omega t-\frac{2\pi x}{\lambda } \right)\] \[{{y}_{2}}={{a}_{2}}\cos \left( \omega t-\frac{2\pi }{\lambda }x+\phi  \right)\] \[={{a}_{2}}\sin \left[ \left( \omega t-\frac{2\pi x}{\lambda }+\phi  \right)+\frac{\pi }{2} \right]\] \[\therefore \]Phase difference\[=\left( \frac{\pi }{2}+\phi  \right)\] Path difference\[=\frac{\lambda }{2\pi }\left( \frac{\pi }{2}+\phi  \right)\]
