RAJASTHAN PET Rajasthan PET Solved Paper-2001

  • question_answer
    If \[P(A)=0.25,P(B)=0.50\]and \[P(B/A)=0.6,\]then the value of P(A/B) is

    A)  0.3

    B)  0.35

    C)  0.15

    D)  0.5

    Correct Answer: A

    Solution :

     P = 0.25, P = 0.50 and P (B/A) = 0.6 \[\Rightarrow \] \[\frac{P(B\cap A)}{P(A)}=0.6\] \[\Rightarrow \] \[P(B\cap A)=0.6\times 0.25\] \[\Rightarrow \] \[P(B\cap A)=0.150=P(A\cap B)\] \[P(A/B)=\frac{P(A\cap B)}{P(B)}\] \[=\frac{0.150}{0.50}\] \[=0.3\]
