The ratio of methane, ammonia and hydrogen in Stanley Millers experiment was

    A) \[3:1:2\]

    B) \[2:1:2\]

    C) \[1:2:1\]

    D) \[5:4:1\]

    Correct Answer: B

    Solution :

Stanley Miller and Harold Urey synthesized amino acid by passing an electric discharge in a mixture of ammonia\[(N{{H}_{3}})\], hydrogen\[({{H}_{2}})\], water vapours\[({{H}_{2}}O)\]and methane\[(C{{H}_{4}})\]. The ratio of\[C{{H}_{4}}\],\[N{{H}_{3}}\]and \[{{H}_{2}}\] in large flask was\[2:1:2\].
