    Solution :

    \[i=\frac{E}{R+r}\] or            \[\frac{{{i}_{1}}}{{{i}_{2}}}=\frac{{{R}_{2}}+r}{{{R}_{1}}+r}\] \[\therefore \]  \[\frac{0.9}{0.3}=\frac{7+r}{2+r}\]     or     \[\frac{7+r}{2+r}\] or            \[r=0.5\Omega \]
