  • question_answer
    At\[{{127}^{o}}C\]radiated energy is\[2.7\times {{10}^{-3}}J/s\].  At what temperature radiated energy is\[4.32\times {{10}^{6}}J/s\]?

    A) \[400K\]

    B) \[4000K\]

    C) \[80000K\]

    D) \[40000K\]

    Correct Answer: C

    Solution :

    Radiant energy\[E\propto {{T}^{4}}\]                 \[\frac{{{E}_{2}}}{{{E}_{1}}}={{\left( \frac{{{T}_{2}}}{{{T}_{1}}} \right)}^{4}}\]                 \[\frac{4.32\times {{10}^{6}}}{2.7\times {{10}^{-3}}}={{\left( \frac{{{T}_{2}}}{127+273} \right)}^{4}}\]                 \[16\times {{10}^{8}}={{\left( \frac{{{T}_{2}}}{400} \right)}^{4}}\]                 \[2\times {{10}^{2}}=\frac{{{T}_{2}}}{400}\] \[\therefore \]  \[{{T}_{2}}=400\times 2\times {{10}^{2}}\]
