    \[\underset{\begin{smallmatrix}  (40+12+3\times 16) \\  \,\,\,\,\,\,\,\,\,\,\,\,=100 \end{smallmatrix}}{\mathop{CaC{{O}_{3}}}}\,\xrightarrow{\Delta }CaO+\underset{22.4\,\,litre}{\mathop{C{{O}_{2}}}}\,\] \[\because \,\,100\,\,g\,\,CaC{{O}_{3}}\], on decomposition, gives\[=22.4\,\,litre\,\,C{{O}_{2}}\]at STP \[\therefore \,\,20\,\,g\,\,CaC{{O}_{3}}\], on decomposition, will give                 \[=\frac{22.4\times 20}{100}\] \[=4.48\,\,litre\,\,C{{O}_{2}}\]at STP
