     Here: Length of train\[l=120\text{ }m\] Speed of train\[{{\upsilon }_{train}}=10m/s\]towards west Speed of bird\[{{\upsilon }_{bird}}=5m/s\]towards east The relative velocity of bird with respect to the tram \[\upsilon ={{\upsilon }_{train}}+{{\upsilon }_{bird}}=10+5=15m/s\] Hence, time taken to cross die train is \[=\frac{s}{\upsilon }=\frac{120}{15}=8\,\sec \]
