    Reaction in acidic medium: \[{{\text{H}}_{\text{2}}}{{\text{O}}_{\text{2}}}\text{+2}{{\text{H}}^{\text{+}}}\text{+2}{{\text{e}}^{\text{--}}}\xrightarrow{{}}\text{2}{{\text{H}}_{\text{2}}}\text{O}\] \[{{\text{H}}_{\text{2}}}{{\text{O}}_{\text{2}}}\] oxidises \[{{\text{ }\!\![\!\!\text{ Fe(CN}{{\text{)}}_{\text{6}}}\text{ }\!\!]\!\!\text{ }}^{4-}}\text{ to  }\!\![\!\!\text{ Fe(CN}{{\text{)}}_{\text{6}}}{{\text{ }\!\!]\!\!\text{ }}^{\text{3--}}}\]and get reduced to\[{{\text{H}}_{\text{2}}}\text{O}\]. Reaction in basic medium: \[{{\text{H}}_{2}}{{O}_{2}}+2O{{H}^{-}}\xrightarrow{{}}{{O}_{2}}+2{{H}_{2}}O+2{{e}^{-}}\] \[{{H}_{2}}{{O}_{2}}\] reduces \[{{\left[ \text{Fe}{{\left( \text{CN} \right)}_{\text{6}}} \right]}^{\text{3--}}}\] to \[{{\left[ \text{Fe}{{\left( \text{CN} \right)}_{\text{6}}} \right]}^{\text{4--}}}\] in alkaline medium and oxidised itself to \[{{O}_{2}}\]
