    Solution :

     \[{{l}_{g}}=\frac{2}{300}A=\frac{2}{300}\times 100\,mA\] \[=\frac{20}{3}\,mA=6.67\,mA\] As range of ammeter cannot be decreased but can be increased only. Therefore, the  instrument cannot be converted to measure the range 1 mA.
