     Hypanthodium is a modified cymose inflorescence. The fleshy peduncle is widened at the tip, forms a cup shaped receptacle,  which opens by a narrow opening at the top. The inner wall of the receptacle has two types of female flowers female at the base and male flowers above e.g., Ficus sp. Syconus is a multiple fruit of Ficus sps. It develops from a hollow, fleshy receptacle enclosing a number of minute, male and female flowers. The fruit really encloses a number of true fruits or achenes. Cyathium is the peculiar inflorescence in Euphorbia, a cup-shaped involucre with stamens and stalked gynoecium, each stamen and the gynoecium being a separate flower. Catkin is type of racemose inflorescence, a spike with unisexual flowers and pendulous rachis e.g., Morus.
