    The velocity of a body moving with uniform acceleration at a given instant of time t is  10 m/s. After 5 s its velocity is 20 m/s. Distance travelled in that time is:

    Solution :

     From equation of motion \[v=u+at\] Given, \[v=20\,m/s,\,u=10\,m/s,\,t=5\,s\] \[\therefore \] \[a=\frac{10}{5}=2\,m/{{s}^{2}}\] Also, \[{{v}^{2}}={{u}^{2}}+2as\] \[{{(20)}^{2}}={{(10)}^{2}}+2\times 2s\] \[\Rightarrow \] \[s=\frac{300}{4}=75\,m\]
