If a current flows through an infinitely long straight wire, the magnetic field produced at a  point 1m away from it, is:

    A)  \[2\times {{10}^{-3}}T\]

    B) \[2\times {{10}^{-1}}T\]

    C)  \[2\times {{10}^{-1}}T\]

    D) \[2\pi \times {{10}^{-6}}T\]

    Correct Answer: C

    Solution :

     The magnetic field produced at a point 1m away from the wire is \[B=\frac{{{\mu }_{0}}}{4\pi }\frac{2i}{r}\] Given, \[i=1A,r=1m\] \[\therefore \] \[B=\frac{{{10}^{-7}}\times 2\times 1}{1}=2\times {{10}^{-7}}\,T\]
