    Solution :

    \[{{I}_{g}}=\frac{2}{300}A=\frac{2}{300}\times 1000\,\,mA\]                 \[=\frac{20}{3}mA=6.67\,\,mA\] As range of ammeter cannot be decreased but can be increased only. Therefore, the instrument cannot be converted to measure the range\[1\,\,mA\].
