  • question_answer
Energy obtained when \[1\,\,mg\] mass is completely converted in to energy will be:

    A) \[9\times {{10}^{13}}J\]

    B)  \[3\times {{10}^{8}}J\]

    C)  \[3\times {{10}^{15}}J\]

    D)  \[9\times {{10}^{15}}J\]

    Correct Answer: A

    Solution :

    According to Einstein's theory of relativity, matter is completely converted into energy or vice-versa. The relation is                 \[E=\Delta m{{c}^{2}}\] Given,\[\Delta m=1\,\,mg=1\times {{10}^{-3}}g,\,\,c=3\times {{10}^{8}}m/s\] \[\therefore \]  \[E=1\times {{10}^{-3}}\times {{(3\times {{10}^{8}})}^{2}}\]                     \[=9\times {{10}^{13}}J\]
