        Two bodies of different masses has been released from the top of tower. One is thrown in horizontal direction while other is dropped, then which will reach the ground first?

    A)  The body which has been thrown horizontally

    C)  Both will reach the ground simultaneously

    D)  Depends on the velocity with which the first bod has been projected horizontally

    Solution :

                    Since, vertical displacement is same, as well as initial velocity in vertical downward direction is zero for both the bodies. So,          \[h=\frac{gt_{1}^{2}}{2}\]   (for horizontal throwing) \[h=\frac{gt_{2}^{2}}{2}\]                    (for dropping) \[\therefore \]  \[{{t}_{1}}={{t}_{2}}\]
