The length of perpendicular from the point \[(1,0,1)\] to the plane \[3x+\sqrt{6}y+7z+6=0\]is

    A)  \[2\]

    B)  \[6\]

    C)  \[8\]

    D)  \[7\]

    Correct Answer: A

    Solution :

\[\therefore \] Length of perpendicular from the point \[(1,\,\,0,\,\,1)\] to the plane \[3x+\sqrt{6}y+7z+6=0\]is \[\frac{3(1)+\sqrt{6}(0)+7(1)+6}{\sqrt{{{3}^{2}}+{{(\sqrt{6})}^{2}}+{{(7)}^{2}}}}\] \[=\frac{16}{\sqrt{9+6+49}}=\frac{16}{\sqrt{64}}=\frac{16}{8}=2\]
