    Solution :

                    Here, \[{{l}_{1}}=50cm,\,\,{{l}_{2}}=51cm,\,\,n=12\] Using the relation for velocity of wave Number of beats \[\upsilon =\left( \frac{1}{{{l}_{1}}}-\frac{1}{{{l}_{2}}} \right)\] or            \[12=\upsilon \left( \frac{1}{50}-\frac{1}{51} \right)\] So,          \[\upsilon =\frac{12\times 50\times 51}{100}=306m/s\]
