  • question_answer
A billion electrons pass through a cross-section of a conductor in \[{{10}^{-3}}sec.\] The value of current will be :

    A)  \[3.2\times {{10}^{-7}}A\]

    B)  \[1.6\times {{10}^{-7}}A\]

    C)  \[0.8\times {{10}^{-7}}A\]

    D)  none of these

    Correct Answer: B

    Solution :

                    Using the relation, \[i=\frac{q}{t}=\frac{ne}{t}\] Here, \[n=1\,billoin\,={{10}^{9}},\,\,\,\,t={{10}^{-3}}\sec \] So,          \[i=\frac{{{10}^{9}}\times 1.6\times {{10}^{-19}}}{{{10}^{-3}}}=1.6\times {{10}^{-7}}A\]
