    Solution :

                    There is only gravitational force is acting on the lift. As power,           \[P=Fv\] \[\Rightarrow \]                               \[P=mgv\]    \[=500\times 9.8\times 0.2=980\,W.\] Now,   746 watt = 1 hp So, 980 watt\[=\frac{980}{746}\text{hp}=13\,\text{hp}\]
