    Solution :

    Ans.  If total income \[=Rs\,x\] Expenditure on house rent = 20% of \[x\] Remaining amount = x-20% of x = 80% of x = 0.80x Expenditure on house hold = 70% of 0.80x Remaining amount \[0.80x=0.30\times 0.80x\] According to the questions, \[0.30\times 0.80x=1800\] \[\Rightarrow \]            \[x=\frac{1800}{0.30\times 0.80}=\text{Rs}\,7500\]
