    The mixture of metal \[+Hg\]called as amalgam. Amalgams of \[Ag,\] \[Au,\]\[Sn,\] \[Pb,\]\[Cu,\] \[Bi,\]\[Cd,\] \[Mg\] etc. can be prepared by rubbing the metal with mercury. But iron do not form an amalgam so, mercury kept in iron pot.
