    Solution :

    We know,           \[\frac{{{I}_{G}}}{I}=\frac{1}{2}\]                 \[\frac{S}{G+S}=\frac{1}{2}\]                 \[\frac{{{I}_{G}}}{I}=\frac{40}{G+40}=\frac{1}{2}\]                                 \[G=40\,\Omega \]
